Domain Warm-Up
Gradually ramping send volume on a new sending domain to build inbox reputation.
Definition
Domain warm-up is the practice of starting with very low daily send volume (typically 5 emails per mailbox) and doubling every few days over 2-4 weeks, while using warm-up tools that trigger replies from a network of real mailboxes. The goal is to establish reputation with major inbox providers before sending real outbound at scale.
Why it matters
Skipping warm-up is the single most common cold-email failure. Once a domain's reputation is burned, recovery takes months.
